Armenia Fest 2026 Celebrates Armenian Culture in Royal Oak
Armenia Fest 2026 brought Armenian culture to Royal Oak

Armenia Fest 2026 drew families and community members to the Royal Oak Farmers Market on August 22, featuring traditional Armenian music, dance, food and cultural activities. The Hamazkayin Arax Dance Troupe performed Armenian folk dances while the Armenia Fest All-Star Band provided live music throughout the evening. Festival attendees sampled traditional cuisine including kebabs, lamajoon, and choreg, with a competitive bake-off judging homemade versions of the Armenian sweet bread. Vendors sold Armenian-themed merchandise and cultural items, and a silent auction featured local art and sports memorabilia. Organized by the Metro Detroit Armenia Fest Committee and Detroit Knights of Vartan, the annual celebration emphasizes community togetherness and cultural transmission to younger generations. Festival proceeds support the Knights of Vartan Economic Sustainability Program in Armenia.
