Yerevan's Kievyan Bridge Reopens After Renovation
Yerevanโs Kievyan Bridge reopens to traffic
Yerevan's Kievyan Bridge has reopened to traffic following completion of major renovation work, the city announced. The project finished two weeks ahead of schedule.
The bridge's roadway and pedestrian sections underwent full renovation, including replacement of expansion joints and the drainage system, waterproofing installation, and underground lighting cable work. Reinforcement and restoration of the bridge's main arch and supports will continue through the end of the year without disrupting traffic flow.
The Kievyan Bridge, a major crossing in Armenia's capital, serves as an important transit route for the city. Officials have emphasized that remaining construction phases will proceed without affecting public access.
