Wizz Air Opens Direct London-Yerevan Flight Route
New Air Route to Deepen Armenia–UK Relations, Ambassador Says

A new direct airline route between London Luton Airport and Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan launched on May 8, with an official opening ceremony held in London. Armenian Ambassador Nersesyan highlighted the route's significance for strengthening bilateral relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom.
The ambassador noted that the direct connection is expected to boost tourism, business partnerships, educational exchanges, and cultural cooperation between the two nations. He emphasized that improved air connectivity facilitates people-to-people contact and creates opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.
The route also benefits the Armenian diaspora community in the UK, offering more convenient travel to Armenia and supporting efforts to maintain connections with the homeland. The service is operated by budget carrier Wizz Air.
