University Professor Donates Armenian Studies Books to NAASR

The National Association for Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR) has received a donation of 11 academic volumes from Prof. Bedross Der Matossian of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The books, part of the "Armenians in the Modern and Early Modern World" series published by Bloomsbury, were given in memory of Der Matossian's late father, Vartan Der Matossian (1933-2017).

The series, which launched in 2023, has become a leading English-language publication focusing on Armenian history, politics, and culture from 1500-2000, with particular attention to the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Russia. Der Matossian, a prominent scholar of Middle Eastern history and genocide studies, serves on NAASR's academic advisory committee. The donation brings NAASR's Mardigian Library to nearly 40,000 volumes. The organization welcomes additional donations and invites interested parties to contact Library Director Ani Babaian.
