At least 10 people were killed in a second wave of Russian missile strikes on Ukraine's capital Kyiv within a week, according to the city's military administrator Timur Tkachenko. The strikes wounded 46 others, including five children, with rescue operations continuing at more than 20 locations across two districts. Residential high-rise buildings sustained direct hits, while warehouses and workshop facilities were also damaged, city Mayor Vitaly Klitschko reported.

The attacks preceded a NATO summit in Turkey where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was scheduled to meet with President Trump. Zelensky had warned hours earlier that Moscow was preparing the strike following Thursday attacks that killed 30 people. Russian ballistic missiles struck multiple locations across the city, igniting fires in several apartment complexes.
