Massachusetts Chamber Music Artists Opens Season with 'Crossroads'

Massachusetts Chamber Music Artists (MCMA) launched its second season with a concert titled "Crossroads" on September 12 at Follen Church in Lexington, Massachusetts. Violinist Haig Hovsepian, founder and artistic director of MCMA, performed alongside cellist Ismael Guerrero and pianist Matias Cuevas in a program spanning three musical traditions: Gayane Chebotaryan's Piano Trio, Astor Piazzolla's The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, and Johannes Brahms's Piano Trio No. 1 in B major. The concert showcased the range of the piano trio format, moving from Armenian classical music through Argentine tango to German Romanticism. The performance received a standing ovation. MCMA's next event, "Tradition Unbound," is scheduled for December 5, featuring classical music and jazz exploration.
