Library of Congress highlights 250 years of Armenian American history
Library of Congress to spotlight Armenian American history

The Library of Congress will host an evening program exploring Armenian American history as part of its Live! at the Library summer series on July 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thomas Jefferson Building.
The event, "Armenian American Heritage at 250: Reflections from the Library's Collections," will feature Dr. Khachig Mouradian, an Armenian and Georgian specialist at the Library of Congress, who will discuss the documentary record of Armenian life in the United States. The presentation will draw on manuscripts, rare books, maps, and photographs from the library's collections spanning more than 250 years.
A curated display of selected collection items will be available for viewing, followed by a reception. The program is free and open to the public, with advance registration requested through the Library of Congress website.
