Applications open for the Summer 2027 Israelyan Fellowship

Applications are now open for the inaugural Summer 2027 Israelyan Fellowship at Gladstone's Library in the United Kingdom, a monthlong residential program supporting advanced work in Armenian studies, literature and the social sciences.
The fully funded fellowship provides writers, artists and scholars with accommodation, meals, library access and travel support to advance projects already substantially underway. Applicants of any nationality working in Armenian studies or on Armenian themes are eligible.
The fellowship was established by Souren A. Israelyan and aims to nurture Armenian intellectual and cultural traditions while fostering new scholarship and creative expression. The application deadline is October 15, 2026, with results announced by December 1, 2026. The residency will occur during summer 2027. Applications are submitted through https://israelyanfellowships.org/ and should include a curriculum vitae, personal statement, project proposal, timeline and two letters of recommendation.
