Armenian Violinist Kazazyan to Perform Khachaturian Concerto in Madeira
Haik Kazazyan to perform Khachaturian’s Violin Concerto at the closing concert of Madeira Classical Orchestra’s 2025/2026 season
Renowned Armenian violinist Haik Kazazyan will perform as soloist at the Madeira Classical Orchestra's 2025/2026 season closing concert on July 18, 2026, at the Madeira Congress Centre. Kazazyan will perform Aram Khachaturian's Violin Concerto in D minor under the direction of Italian conductor Gianluca Marcianò. Composed in 1940 and dedicated to David Oistrakh, the concerto is celebrated for its rhythmic drive, lyricism, and Armenian musical character. The second half of the program will feature Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9, "From the New World." Kazazyan has performed with leading orchestras across Europe, Asia, and the Americas and is recognized for his expressive interpretations and technical virtuosity.
