Armenian Bar Association Elects Zaven Sargsian as New Chair

The Armenian Bar Association has elected Zaven Sargsian as chair of its board of governors at its 37th annual meeting in Washington, D.C. Sargsian, a respected attorney and community leader, has served on the board for more than four years, most recently as secretary. He succeeds Taline Sahakian, whose tenure focused on organizational growth and expanded advocacy on legal and policy issues affecting Armenia, Artsakh, and diaspora communities.

Sargsian emphasized his commitment to strengthening the association's legal advocacy, professional development, and mentorship programs. The newly elected executive committee includes Steven Dadaian and Mariam Kuregyan as co-vice chairs, Mesrop Khoudagoulian as treasurer, and Levon Golendukhin as secretary. The Armenian Bar Association is the largest organization of legal professionals of Armenian descent outside the Republic of Armenia.
