Armenia to Host European Archaeology Days June 12-14

Armenia will host the "European Archaeology Days" event from June 12 to 14, featuring educational programs at archaeological sites, museums and cultural venues nationwide.

The three-day initiative, now in its fourth consecutive year, is coordinated by multiple Armenian institutions including the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences, the History Museum of Armenia, and regional museums in Lori-Pambak, Dilijan and Yeghegnadzor.

Visitors of all ages will have access to excavation sites, archaeological research centers, and opportunities to meet archaeologists and restoration specialists. Programming includes hands-on excavation experiences, exhibitions, workshops, guided walks and interactive events designed to deepen public understanding of archaeology.

The "European Archaeology Days" initiative has been coordinated since 2010 by France's National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (Inrap) under the French Ministry of Culture.
