Armenia's Ministry of Defense has prohibited citizens and media from photographing or filming military equipment in Yerevan ahead of the nation's Republic Day military parade scheduled for May 28.

In a statement to the public and media organizations, the Ministry cited security reasons for the restrictions on equipment being transported through the capital's streets prior to the event. The ban also extends to drone footage, with authorities warning that unmanned aerial vehicles cannot be used for filming purposes.

The Ministry indicated that official opportunities to photograph and film military equipment will be available on May 28 itself, following established procedures. Violations of the restrictions carry legal consequences, according to the statement.
