An "Armath" engineering workshop has opened in Ranya, Iraqi Kurdistan, marking the 18th international location for the Armenian STEM education initiative. The workshop was established through collaboration between Armenia's Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises and Iraq's Raparin Regional Development Agency, with support from Armenia's Consulate General in Erbil.

The opening ceremony included Armenian Ambassador Ruben Sogoyan and Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani. Local instructors completed training in programming and robotics led by Armath instructor Armen Mkhoyan.

The Armath program, developed in Armenia to promote science and technology education, currently operates 642 workshops in Armenian schools, serving approximately 17,000 students. "The international expansion demonstrates that this Armenian engineering education model is competitive and in demand worldwide," said UATE Executive Director Edita Ghazaryan.
