ANCA Plans Major Capitol Hill Advocacy Push for 2026 Midterms

The Armenian National Committee of America will host Strategic Advocacy 2026 in Washington, D.C. on September 14-15, 2026, bringing Armenian American advocates from more than 30 states to Capitol Hill 50 days before the November midterm elections.

The two-day mobilization will focus on electoral impact and policy progress, with delegations meeting with members of Congress to advance priorities including the right of return for displaced Artsakh Armenians, release of Armenian hostages and prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan, enforcement of Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act, and an end to U.S. military assistance to Azerbaijan.

The event will conclude with a Capitol Hill rally titled "Accountability | 2026 — Artsakh: Justice. Freedom. Right of Return." Registration deadline is August 16, 2026. The mobilization builds on advocacy days held in April and September 2025 that drew over 200 Armenian American advocates for 150 congressional meetings.
