City of Los Angeles business tax renewal
Due by the last day of February (Feb 28, or Feb 29 in a leap year). Every business must file, even with no revenue.
Next due: February 28, 2027
What to have ready
- Your LA City business tax account number (BTRC) and your online account at finance.lacity.gov
- Last year's total gross receipts, from inside and outside the City
- If they were under $100,000: file on time and you owe $0 (Small Business Exemption) — a late filing loses it

Glendale Business Registration Certificate (BRC) renewal
Renew before the expiration date printed on your BRC. The renewal window opens 30 days before; a lapsed BRC means applying for a new one.
Next due: your certificate's expiration date
What to have ready
- Your current BRC and the expiration date printed on it
- Your Glendale Permits online account (GlendalePermits.org) — renewals are only accepted there
- Any change in activity, square footage, name, ownership or address means a NEW BRC, not a renewal

How it works
Sign up with your city, business type and email. Owners of a claimed listing can tick one box on their dashboard.
30, 14 and 3 days before each deadline you get one short email in your language, with what to have ready.
Every email links to the official page. You file or pay there — we never touch your documents or money.
Remind me
Takes a minute. No account needed.
Reminders only — not tax or legal advice. Every date comes from the official city or county page linked on the card, with the day we last checked it. Always confirm on the official page before you file or pay.
