Yerevan to Redevelop Historic Foreign Ministry Building
Yerevan’s Former Foreign Ministry building to undergo $150 million redevelopment

Armenia's Scientific and Methodological Council has unanimously approved a redevelopment concept for Yerevan's former Foreign Ministry building on Republic Square. The $150 million mixed-use project, owned by Corporación América Airports, was designed in collaboration with London-based Foster + Partners and local firm Quadrum Architectural Office.
The development will combine hotel, residential, office, and retail spaces with new public areas while preserving the building's architectural and historical significance. The approval followed approximately 18 months of consultation between the architectural teams and the Culture Ministry's council.
Corporación América Airports CEO Martín Eurnekian stated the goal is to "give this landmark building a new life" while maintaining its historic identity and relationship to Republic Square. The project aims to become a new cultural and tourism attraction for the Armenian capital.
