Armenia's Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with World Bank Country Manager Fabrizio Zarcone on July 10 to discuss progress on the Tourism and Regional Infrastructure Improvement Project (TRIP). The €120 million initiative aims to modernize tourism infrastructure across seven Armenian regions: Goris, Areni, Jermuk, Yeghegis, Dvin, Gyumri, and Dilijan.

The project focuses on developing tourism clusters centered on wine, health and wellness, adventure, cultural, educational, and ecotourism offerings. Officials said the investment is intended to strengthen Armenia's competitiveness as a tourist destination while boosting regional economies. Both sides committed to continued cooperation to ensure timely and effective implementation of the planned activities.
