West Palm Beach Airport Renamed After President Trump
Florida’s Palm Beach airport renamed for Trump
Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach, Florida, has been officially renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport, marking the first time a U.S. airport has been named after a sitting president. The renaming took effect Thursday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The airport's FAA identifier will change from PBI to DJT, with the International Air Transport Association code transition scheduled for August 18. Airlines including United, Delta, American, and Southwest have already updated their booking systems with the new airport code, though passengers can still search using the old PBI designation.
The facility is implementing signage and branding updates in phases. More than a dozen major U.S. carriers operate at the airport.
