At least 13 people, including one child, were killed in a Ukrainian drone strike on Russia's Tatarstan region, according to Russian officials cited by the BBC. The attack on the city of Nizhnekamsk, located over 1,100 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, also injured 39 people, making it among the deadliest single strikes on Russian territory since the full-scale invasion began. The overnight strike targeted industrial facilities including major oil refineries and a petrochemical plant, as well as residential areas. Moscow's Investigative Committee noted that civilians uninvolved in military operations were present during the attack. Kyiv has not yet commented on the strike. Tatarstan's regional leader confirmed the attack and expressed condolences to victims' families.
