U.S. Scouts Attend 13th Pan-Homenetmen Jamboree in Armenia
Homenetmen Eastern Region U.S. scouts participate in the 13th Pan-Homenetmen Jamboree in Armenia
Seventy-six Eastern Region Homenetmen scouts traveled to Armenia this summer to participate in the 13th Pan-Homenetmen Jamboree, which drew nearly 900 scouts from 23 countries to Karnig Meguerditchian Scout Camp in Byurakan.
After arriving in Yerevan on July 23, the delegation spent ten days at the panagavayr (scout camp) engaging in cultural exchanges, nightly campfire programs, and team activities. On July 25, scouts visited Yerablur military cemetery to honor Armenia's fallen soldiers, then marched through Yerevan to the National Opera and Ballet Theater alongside delegates from around the world. The group also visited Dzidzernagapert, the Armenian Genocide memorial complex.
The Jamboree emphasized shared Armenian heritage and Homenetmen values of service and dedication, leaving scouts with direct connections to Armenia's history and contemporary national identity.
