Tsarukyan Says Voters Demanding Change in Armenian Elections
Gagik Tsarukyan says voters seeking change

Gagik Tsarukyan, head of the Prosperous Armenia Party's electoral list, said voter turnout in parliamentary elections reflects public desire for change. Speaking after voting, Tsarukyan noted unusually high participation since polling stations opened, stating: "People want change. They are tired and want change."
Tsarukyan expressed confidence in opposition prospects, saying when asked if the opposition has a chance of gaining power: "Absolutely." He declined to predict his party's vote total but said the Prosperous Armenia Party would "definitely win" and that whichever force receives the most votes would nominate a prime ministerial candidate.
The comments came as Armenians voted in parliamentary elections widely viewed as significant for the country's political direction.
