Tsarukyan alleges election irregularities, vows legal challenge
Tsarukyan accuses authorities of election manipulation, vows legal and political fight
Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan has accused Armenian authorities of orchestrating a campaign against his party during recent parliamentary elections, citing misuse of administrative resources and electoral procedure violations. Tsarukyan claimed the ruling force conducted an "unlawful and immoral campaign" involving criminal prosecutions and arrests of party supporters. He alleged that after vote recounts confirmed Prosperous Armenia secured sufficient votes for parliamentary entry, the Central Electoral Commission annulled results from two polling stations without ordering repeats—a move he said was designed to strip his party of representation. Tsarukyan announced his legal teams are preparing appeals and court challenges, and said Prosperous Armenia would coordinate with other opposition parties on future strategy. He called for defending voters' interests through all available legal means.
