Strong Armenia Alliance Challenges Parliamentary Election Results
Strong Armenia Alliance seeks annulment of parliamentary election results
Armenia's Strong Armenia Alliance has filed a complaint with the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) requesting annulment of the country's parliamentary election results. Alliance candidate Aram Vardevanyan announced Friday that the coalition submitted a formal complaint documenting alleged electoral violations during both the pre-election campaign and voting day. The CEC is scheduled to review the complaint on Sunday, the same day it plans to finalize and announce official election results. Parliamentary elections were held nationwide on June 7. The complaint follows standard post-election procedures in Armenia, where electoral disputes are common and subject to formal review by the commission before final certification.
