St. Gregory's Armenian Food Festival Returns for 49th Year
St. Gregory’s Armenian food festival returns for a 49th year

St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts will host its 49th annual Armenian Food Festival on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, from noon to 7 p.m. The free, all-ages event features grilled kebabs, traditional pastries including paklava and choreg, and homemade pickled vegetables, with dine-in and takeout options available.
Many recipes trace their origins to families who survived the Armenian Genocide and settled in Western Massachusetts mill towns. Volunteers, some in their 80s and 90s, prepare dishes using methods passed down through generations. The festival includes live Armenian music and traditional dancing throughout the afternoon.
The church, founded in 1934, has served the Armenian community for over 90 years. Organizers are already planning celebrations for the festival's 50th anniversary next year.
