Sotheby's Delegation Visits Armenia's National Gallery
Sotheby’s representatives visit Armenia’s National Gallery to explore cooperation
Representatives from Sotheby's, the international auction house, visited Armenia's National Gallery of Armenia this week as part of a June 14–17 visit coordinated by Armenia's Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
The delegation included Alina Davey, Head of Sotheby's Collectors Group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Edward Gibbs, Chairman of Sotheby's Middle East and India. During their tour, the visitors were briefed on the gallery's collections, institutional priorities, and ongoing international projects.
Official statements indicated the visit aims to establish cooperation between Sotheby's and Armenian cultural institutions, strengthen professional relationships, and increase international visibility for Armenia's artistic heritage. The National Gallery emphasized its role in preserving and studying cultural heritage globally.
