Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister says Armenia has no plans to leave EAEU
Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said Armenia does not intend to withdraw from the Eurasian Economic Union, citing the country's understanding of the bloc's economic benefits.
Speaking to journalists, Overchuk stated that Armenia values the preferential conditions and trade advantages it receives through EAEU membership. He highlighted key benefits including zero customs duties, harmonized standards and technical regulations, and open markets that allow free movement of goods among member states.
According to Overchuk, these mechanisms have created significant economic opportunities for Armenia and contributed to its trade development within the union. He emphasized that Armenian officials understand the advantages of participation and are committed to remaining in the organization.
