Russia Reaffirms Support for Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Talks
Russia reaffirms readiness to support Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization
Russia's Foreign Ministry said it remains committed to facilitating peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, ahead of talks between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
The ministry stated Russia is prepared to assist with full normalization of relations, including peace treaty negotiations, border delimitation, and reopening of transport corridors. Officials referenced trilateral agreements signed by Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan between 2020 and 2022 as the framework for these processes.
Bayramov's visit is expected to address bilateral relations and regional issues, with the normalization process a key agenda item. The statement underscores Russia's ongoing diplomatic role in South Caucasus stability.
