Prosperous Armenia Party Seeks Recounts After Election Threshold Miss
Prosperous Armenia seeks recounts, alleges irregularities in vote count

Armenia's Prosperous Armenia Party announced it will pursue legal recounts and challenge alleged electoral irregularities following the country's recent parliamentary elections. According to preliminary results from the Central Electoral Commission, the party received 58,388 votes, or 3.996% of the total—narrowly below the 4% threshold required for parliamentary representation.
Party spokesperson Iveta Tonoyan said officials are finalizing a list of polling stations where recounts will be requested and reviewing grounds for appealing specific electoral decisions. The party alleged "various arithmetic manipulations" in vote calculations but provided no specific details of discrepancies.
Prosperous Armenia indicated it will exhaust all legal remedies available under Armenian electoral law. The recount process will be closely monitored, as even marginal adjustments to the final tally could determine whether the party clears the threshold.
