Professor Shemmassian Releases Illustrated Book on Musa Dagh Immigration
Prof. Shemmassian Publishes Illustrated Book On Musa Dagh Immigrants In The United States
Prof. Vahram Shemmassian, Director of the Armenian Studies Program at California State University, Northridge, has published an illustrated book documenting the history of Musa Dagh immigrants in the United States. The work examines the experiences of Armenian refugees from Musa Dagh, a mountain region in Ottoman-era Syria with a significant Armenian population, who immigrated to America. Shemmassian's research contributes to the documented history of Armenian diaspora communities and their settlement patterns in the U.S. The illustrated format makes the historical content accessible to both academic and general audiences interested in Armenian-American heritage and immigration history.
