Gyumri-Moscow flight makes emergency landing in Makhachkala
A Pobeda Airlines aircraft operating a flight from Gyumri, Armenia, to Moscow made an emergency landing in Makhachkala, Russia, on June 22. Flight DP-856, a Boeing aircraft, departed Gyumri at 11:24 a.m. Moscow time and declared a general emergency less than an hour into the flight while over Russia's Dagestan region. The aircraft descended to approximately 3,000 meters and was diverted to Makhachkala Airport, where it landed safely. The flight had been scheduled to arrive in Moscow at 3:25 p.m. Moscow time. According to the Russian airline, specialists were assessing the aircraft's technical condition following the landing. No injuries were reported.
