Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called for continued efforts to eliminate trade barriers within the Eurasian Economic Union during an October 2 council meeting. Pashinyan emphasized that free movement of goods, services, capital and labor remains foundational to the EAEU's single market, but noted that administrative restrictions continue to hinder its full functioning.

The Prime Minister highlighted Armenia's Crossroads of Peace initiative, which aims to develop regional transport, energy and digital connectivity. He specifically referenced the TRIPP project, designed to establish direct railway links between Armenia and Azerbaijan and integrate Armenia into international rail networks connecting the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea.

Pashinyan stated that Armenia expects solutions to improve its railway efficiency following regional peace agreements. He stressed that removing barriers to Armenian exports and transit would benefit all EAEU member states by ensuring stable trade flows and strengthening regional integration.
