Pashinyan sends condolences to Norway over death of King Harald V
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a message of condolences to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre following the death of King Harald V on August 28 at age 89. In his statement, Pashinyan expressed sympathy on behalf of the Armenian government and personally to Støre, the Norwegian people, and the Royal Family. Pashinyan praised the late monarch's more than three decades of service to Norway, saying he earned the respect and affection of his people. "His memory will remain as a symbol of devotion to Norway and public service," Pashinyan said. He conveyed Armenia's shared grief and offered wishes of strength and resilience to those mourning. King Harald V was succeeded by his son, who became King Haakon VIII.
