Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent condolences to French President Emmanuel Macron following the death of former French Prime Minister Édouard Balladur. In his message, Pashinyan described Balladur as a prominent statesman who held senior government positions during an important period in France's history and contributed to the country's political and economic development. Pashinyan highlighted Balladur's Armenian heritage, noting that he is remembered with particular regard in Armenia for his family's connection to the Armenian people. "On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the people of Armenia, I extend my deepest condolences and solidarity to you, the friendly people of France, as well as to the family and relatives of the deceased," Pashinyan said.
