NAASR NextGen launches Hamaynk events platform for New England Armenians

A cohort of 10 high school and college students participating in NAASR NextGen has created Hamaynk, a website designed to address community challenges including youth engagement and event coordination in New England's Armenian diaspora.

The students, ranging from high school sophomores to college freshmen, identified a lack of youth-oriented events and community fragmentation as key issues, according to the Armenian Diaspora Survey. The platform aims to serve as a centralized hub for Armenian events and community connection.

Student Aleks Hovhannisyan stated the website represents "the future of the Armenian community in New England," while peer Patil Mardiros described the project as "an amazing opportunity to make real change in uniting the Armenian diaspora."

Hamaynk will officially launch Thursday, July 30 at 7 p.m. at the NAASR Vartan Gregorian Building in Belmont, Massachusetts. The public launch event is open to anyone in the New England Armenian community.
