International Armenian Literary Alliance opens 2026 grant applications
Applications open for IALAβs 2026 grants

The International Armenian Literary Alliance has opened applications for four grants totaling up to $14,000, with a deadline of September 30, 2026.
The Creative Writing Grant will award $2,500 to one Armenian writer for a poetry collection, judged by Armen Davoudian. Three translation grants of $3,500 each support translators working from Eastern Armenian, Western Armenian, and English into other languages. The Eastern Armenian grant targets works published after 1915 in any genre, while the Western Armenian grant covers any period. The English-to-Eastern Armenian grant focuses on contemporary literature by Armenian authors.
IALA provides monetary awards alongside promotional support through website marketing, social media, book reviews, and literary events. The organization aims to address historical resource gaps for Armenian writers and translators in the publishing world.
