Lukashenko Urges Armenia to Remain in EAEU Common Market
Lukashenko urges Armenia not to leave EAEU common market
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has called on Armenia to maintain its membership in the Eurasian Economic Union's common market, warning against abandoning current economic arrangements. Speaking at a session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, Lukashenko advised Armenian officials not to rush into leaving the bloc, emphasizing that existing EAEU membership benefits the country.
Armenia is one of five EAEU members alongside Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. Armenian government officials have previously stated the country is pursuing foreign relations diversification while remaining committed to its EAEU obligations. Lukashenko's remarks reflect ongoing diplomatic efforts to maintain cohesion within the regional economic union.
