Kremlin Says Ukraine Disagreements Won't Hurt Russia-Azerbaijan Ties
Kremlin says differences over Ukraine should Not affect Russia-Azerbaijan relations
The Kremlin stated that differing positions between Russia and Azerbaijan regarding the Ukraine war should not damage bilateral relations, according to TASS. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov acknowledged Moscow and Baku hold contrasting views on the conflict but emphasized Russia takes a pragmatic approach to such disagreements. "We have close relations with a number of countries that hold positions we categorically disagree with," Peskov said at a briefing. "At the same time, we do not believe this should cast a shadow over our bilateral relations." Peskov stressed that Russia intends to continue strengthening ties with Azerbaijan despite the divergence on Ukraine policy, maintaining that the two nations' relationship should remain separate from geopolitical disagreements.
