Karen Vardanyan Funds Restoration of National Gallery's Conservation Department
Thanks to Karen Vardanyan’s financial support of 122 million drams, the Restoration Department of the National Gallery of Armenia has been renovated, furnished, and equipped with modern equipment

The Restoration Department of Armenia's National Gallery has completed a comprehensive renovation and modernization project, funded by philanthropist Karen Vardanyan's donation of 122 million drams (approximately $316,000 USD).
The initiative equipped the department with 316 items across 54 categories of specialized tools and equipment designed to improve the conservation of the nation's cultural heritage. Three restoration specialists also received professional training through partnerships with institutions in Lithuania and the Russian Federation.
The upgraded facilities will enable the gallery's conservators to restore and preserve Armenian artworks under significantly improved conditions, enhancing the country's capacity to maintain its cultural patrimony.
