The Armenian Genealogy Conference will return to Watertown, Massachusetts on November 21, 2026, marking its 10th anniversary at the Armenian Cultural and Educational Center where it first launched in 2016.
The conference brings together researchers, historians, genealogists and community members seeking to trace family histories, access immigration records, and connect dispersed relatives. No prior genealogy experience is required.
The movement began with an online Armenian Genealogy Facebook group founded in 2013 by Tracy Rivest Keeney. The inaugural 2016 Watertown conference drew over 300 participants from across North America and Europe. Since then, the event has expanded to multiple U.S. cities, and was held internationally in Yerevan, Armenia in 2022.
The 2026 program will feature speakers including Mark Arslan, creator of the Armenian DNA Project and Armenian Immigration Project, discussing immigration records and naturalization documents. Registration is available at ArmenianGenealogyConference.com.
