Homenetmen New Jersey honors fallen heroes in Memorial Day parade

Homenetmen scouts from New Jersey participated in Fort Lee's Memorial Day parade on May 25, joining thousands of community members, veterans, and local organizations to honor those who died in U.S. military service. The event also marked America's 250th anniversary.
The parade included representatives from Veterans of Foreign Wars, high school marching bands, local law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency responders. Two scouts reflected on the experience: Yeghpayr Shant Asadurian noted the pride of marching alongside fellow scouts and community units, while Yeghpayr Hagop Dishoyan described it as meaningful opportunity to honor fallen service members while representing both the United States and the Armenian American community.
Through their participation, Homenetmen scouts reinforced the organization's commitment to community service and preserving Memorial Day's significance.
