High Voter Turnout Marks Armenia's Parliamentary Elections
Hayk Marutyan hails high voter turnout in Armenia’s parliamentary elections

Armenia held parliamentary elections Sunday with 18 political parties and alliances competing for National Assembly seats. Hayk Marutyan, the prime ministerial candidate of the New Force Party, cast his ballot and praised what he characterized as strong voter engagement.
Marutyan noted that none of his party's members were detained during the voting process. He contrasted Sunday's turnout with the Yerevan City Council election, which saw only 28 percent participation due to what he called widespread political apathy.
"Today we see that the people have awakened and are deciding for themselves where Armenia should go," Marutyan told reporters. Election observers and officials are monitoring the voting process across Armenia.
