Four Arrested for Spitting at Armenian Cathedral in Jerusalem

Israeli police arrested four people over the weekend on suspicion of spitting at the Armenian Cathedral of St. James in Jerusalem's Old City, according to an announcement by Israel Police reported by The Jerusalem Post. Three additional people were arrested for allegedly vandalizing Muslim graves during the same period.

The incident is the second such arrest at the Armenian Cathedral in recent weeks. Earlier this month, six other suspects were arrested after allegedly throwing rocks and spitting at the same religious site.

Police characterized the arrests as part of a broader enforcement action against acts of disrespect toward religious sites in the city.
