Eastern Region Homenetmen scouts prepare for Pan-Jamboree in Armenia
Homenetmen Eastern Region scouts complete final Jamboree seminar in Detroit
Seventy-six Homenetmen Scouts from the Eastern Region gathered in Detroit from May 29-31 for the third and final preparatory seminar ahead of the 13th Pan-Homenetmen Jamboree. Participants from Boston, Providence, New Jersey, Detroit, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., completed training in scouting skills, emergency response, and marching drills while finalizing plans for activities in Armenia, including Daghavar Day and the Kharouygahantes campfire program.
Regional leaders emphasized the scouts' responsibility while abroad and encouraged continued commitment to Homenetmen's mission. The closing ceremony honored K. Pateel Jamgotchian of the Detroit Chapter with the region's highest recognition. Homenetmen is raising funds through a Sponsor a Mile Fundraiser—where $5 donations equal one mile toward Armenia—and an Amazon Wishlist to support the scouts' journey.
