Diana Yeghikyan: From Biology Student to Animation Artist

Diana Yeghikyan, an artist born and raised in Yerevan, has built a career spanning fine art and animation after initially pursuing biology at Yerevan State University. Her trajectory shifted after attending TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, where she discovered art as a viable profession. She later transferred to the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.

Yeghikyan distinguishes between her personal fine art practice—where she works freely with ink, acrylics, and digital media—and her animation work, where she creates characters, backgrounds, and environments according to client specifications. She has exhibited in Berlin and Armenia, with her first solo exhibition "The Observer" debuting in May at the Pyunik Development Center in Yerevan, featuring approximately 30 works. Going forward, she plans to expand both her animation projects and educational efforts, teaching younger artists character and environment creation techniques.
