Comprehensive Book on Nakhichevan's Armenian Heritage Published
Argam Ayvazyan’s monumental work on Nakhichevan published in Yerevan

A 760-page scholarly work documenting Armenian historical and cultural heritage in Nakhichevan has been published in Yerevan. Authored by Argam Ayvazyan and featuring contributions from multiple researchers, the book includes over 1,000 photographs and draws on materials collected between 1965 and 1987.
The volume covers Nakhichevan's history spanning more than 3,500 years, including archaeological evidence, fortresses, monasteries, khachkars, miniatures, frescoes, traditional crafts, and settlements. The region served as an important center under various Armenian dynasties and was a significant hub for Armenian writing and manuscript production.
According to the publisher, thousands of Armenian monuments in Nakhichevan were destroyed between 1998 and 2006. The book is intended for scholars and general readers interested in Armenian cultural heritage in the region.
