Bulgaria and Armenia Resume Direct Flight Service
GullivAir airline to resume flights between Yerevan and Sofia
Bulgaria and Armenia will restore direct air service between Sofia and Yerevan beginning November 7, 2026, according to an announcement from the Bulgarian Embassy in Armenia. The route will be operated by GullivAir airline, with the resumption credited to efforts by Bulgarian Ambassador Nikola Nikolov and Captain Yanko Ivanov of GullivAir.
Bulgarian officials characterized the restored connection as a significant step in deepening bilateral relations between the two countries. The direct flight is expected to facilitate increased people-to-people contact and expand cooperation in business, culture, sports, and tourism. The Bulgarian Ministry noted that the air link opens new opportunities for developing dialogue between Bulgaria and Armenia across multiple sectors of mutual interest.
