Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan following the Civil Contract party's victory in Armenia's June 7 parliamentary elections. De Wever praised Armenian citizens for their broad participation in democratic processes and their commitment to democratic values. He noted the elections reaffirm Armenia's democratic path during a critical period for global stability. De Wever referenced his May meeting with Pashinyan at the European Political Community Summit and highlighted the recent opening of Belgium's embassy in Yerevan as a significant milestone in bilateral relations. The Belgian government expressed commitment to strengthening cooperation with Armenia across political dialogue, economic partnerships, innovation, education, and cultural exchanges, with particular focus on supporting peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
