An Azerbaijani serviceman has been placed under pre-trial detention following an incident in Shaki, a settlement in Armenia's Syunik Province. According to Armenia's Investigative Committee and Prosecutor General's Office, Nasimi Rahim Oglu Musayev illegally crossed the border and entered a residential home on October 1 around 2 p.m. After being discovered, he opened fire, injuring an Armenian woman born in 1987. Musayev fled the scene but was apprehended at another location approximately 90 minutes later. The injured resident was treated at Sisian Medical Center before being transferred to Yerevan. Her two children, ages 13 and 10, also sought medical attention; the older child sustained a wrist fracture and the younger experienced soft-tissue contusions. A motion for detention has been filed as part of the criminal investigation.
