AYF Olympics: Tennis and Golf Results from New Jersey
Friday at the AYF Olympics
The Armenian Youth Federation held its annual Olympics competition on Friday, featuring tennis, golf, and swimming events across multiple venues in the Northeast.
In tennis at Tenafly Racquet Club in New Jersey, Mia Setrakian of New Jersey won the women's singles title, the only female competitor from her region to medal. In the men's bracket, her brother Peter Setrakian also took gold, with two additional New Jersey players placing third and fourth—a sweep of the medals.
At Meadows Golf Club in Lincoln Park, New Jersey, Sam Selverian of Philadelphia shot a 67 to win the men's tournament, edging out New York's Alex Kassabian, who carded a 68. Six women competed in the tournament. Swimming competition followed later that evening at Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York.
