AYF Interns Explore Armenia's Syunik Province

Members of the Armenian Youth Federation completed a two-day internship trip to Syunik, Armenia's southernmost province, visiting several historical and cultural sites. The group toured Khor Virap near the Turkish border, Noravank monastery, and Areni Cave, known for ancient winemaking artifacts and the discovery of the world's oldest leather shoe. They also visited the mineral springs and waterfall at Jermuk and the town of Goris, where they met with local ARF members considering the establishment of a youth chapter. On the second day, interns traveled to the historic village of Khndzoresk, notable for its 18th-century defense against Ottoman and Persian forces. The trip provided participants with direct exposure to Armenian cultural heritage and diaspora organizational work in the homeland.
